Reading Update

With all of the crazy in the world these past few years, and now the past few weeks, reading as a way remain calm and escape is more important than ever. Here are some books I’ve read lately and really enjoyed:

Leviathan Falls by James S. A. Corey

I read this final installment of this epic space opera the same week I watched the final episode of the same tv series. Bittersweet. The characters have become a part of my life and their struggles have inspired me through the rough times. Hard to believe I started reading this series 10 years ago.

Scythe by Neal Shusterman

This the first Neal Shusterman novel I’ve read and I’m hooked. Scythe gives me the same eagerness to finish the story I had when I read The Hunger Games. Each of these novels have similar themes dealing with death and culture, but are very different stories. Looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman

I loved getting introduced to all the Norse fables in Mr. Lerding’s middle school English class and it’s been fun revisiting these stories in Norse Mythology. Neil Gaiman never fails; it was a real treat to hear him read his retelling of these stories with the Audible version.
