National Novel Writing Month
It’s NaNoWriMo and it’s not too late to get started. I’m a NaNo rebel which means I’m not following the “rules” (there are no rules). I’m not writing 50k words this month. I’m only writing 500 words a day. That will total to 15k.
I’m also not strictly writing pure narrative. I’m sketching out my scenes with clips of dialogue, description and exposition which I will turn into a more formal draft next time around. I’ll show some examples next week.
In the meantime, here are some websites that honor the NaNoWriMo spirit. In my opinion, you can do NaNoWriMo on your own, using your own discipline and fortitude. The idea is to write a little each day and not worry about it being perfect.
