What Does NaNoWriMo Look Like Now?

Never fear, the spirit of NaNoWriMo lives on, even if the website is gone. The challenge is to now find your own community to write with, whether that is online or in-person. And of course, you can write by yourself.

Whatever your goals have been for the November challenge of writing 50k words, you have more freedom than ever. To get into the spirit of NaNoWriMo, check out No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty who founded the whole deal.

Baty is also, for now, part of the new NaNoWriMo website called NaNo 2.0.

And if you want, October can be your “Preptober.” It’s the time to jot down a list of scenes to write, characters to create, and plots to develop. Here’s a list of more websites that have similar challenges and resources to help you do that.

Want to write that rough draft of your novel? Nothing can stop you!
