Marissa Meyer, The Happy Writer
I’ve been reading The Happy Writer: Get More Ideas, Write More Words, and Find More Joy from First Draft to Publication and Beyond by Marissa Meyer, and this quote really resonates with me. I’ve been writing only 555 words a day—a relatively small number—but I’ve made more progress by sticking to this sustainable goal every day, with consistency.
I’ve read Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles series and her Renegades series, and I love her work. If you’re in the mood for YA sci-fi, I highly recommend both series—as well as The Happy Writer. It’s full of great advice for the aspiring writer.
