I’m Putting a Little Variety in My Reading List

I am always trying to expand what genres I read. This next year requires an experiment in my reading. I am reading a book from each of the sub-lists that follow. I plan to go down the list and start over when I complete a circuit. I hope to get through each category twice. There will be some overlap. I usually ready two books simultaneously, one an audio book and the other either print or digital.

What categories would you create if you want more variety in your reading?

• Audible Science Fiction
  an audio book from my purchased books on Audible in my SF collection.
• Biography & Memoir
  a book from my list of biographies, autobiographies and memoirs I want to read.
• Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy
  a book from my list of Christian SF&F.
• Classics
  a book from my list of classics I’ve been meaning to read.
• Dark Academia
  a book from my list in the dark academia category.
• Drama
  a play whether it be Shakespeare or a more modern playwright.
• Gareth Powell
  one of my favorite science fiction authors.
• General Literature
  a book from my list of contemporary fiction.
• Giveaway Books
  a book from my list of free giveaways I won.
• Health
  a book from my list of physical health advice.
• Book Fairs and Conferences
  a book from those I bought at book fairs and writing conferences.
• Indie Author
  a book from my list of Independent writers.
• Kindle Unlimited
  a book from my list on Kindle Unlimited.
• Nonfiction
  a book from my list of nonfiction.
• Poetry
