The best principle to keep in mind when it comes to making writing goals for the new year is this: keep it simple. I’ve broken my writing goals down in three ways:
- Yearly goal: finish a decent draft of my novel Oblivion’s Hope.
- Weekly goal: write at least one or two scenes a week for Oblivion’s Hope.
- Daily goal: write at least 500 words a day.
There. It’s that simple. I’ll come back here at the end of 2024 to see how I’m doing.
Here are some links about writing goals for the new year. Some of these articles for for 2024, and some are from years past, but the advice is still good.
